May 19, 2014 – Randy Zechman, the Bay Area Regional Chapter President of CALSEIA and CEO of Clean Solar, hosted the second local event in 2014 focusing on solar financing options on May 7th. Zechman also moderated the panel discussion which included speakers from Figtree Financing, Matadors Community Credit Union, and Sunrun. The event took place at Sunrun’s headquarters in San Francisco.
The topic was Solar Financing and discussions included questions about going solar for $0 down, the future of solar leases and loans, and the reemerging Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program. Over 40 solar industry professionals from all over the Bay Area attended the event. The panelists included Ryan Ahearn, VP of Marketing at Figtree PACE Financing, Mark Tsimanis, Chief Lending Offer at Matador Loans, and Walker Wright, Director of Policy at Sunrun.
Solar financing options, in addition to rebates and credit incentives, have had a huge impact on solar installations throughout California, including the Bay Area.
