New Intern Reporting for Duty!

Hi there!

My name is Codi Alen Ricardo and I’m a new intern at Clean Solar. This is my first blog of a series that I’ll be writing during my stay here at Clean Solar. I am seventeen years old and currently a senior attending Mount Pleasant High School in San Jose, California. It’s only my first week here at Clean Soalr, but I am so excited to be here! Let me give you a little insight as to how I got involved.

A majority of students don’t know what they want to be when they grow up and I was one of them. I do my best to try and explore different fields to see what I do and don’t like. About three months ago, I attended a student conference known as Enterprise Leadership Conference (ELC) which was hosted by Rotary International. When I applied, I had no idea what kind of opportunities would arise. At ELC, I listened to several business leaders and learned about the several branches of business like human resources, public relations, marketing, etc. I’m so glad that I participated in ELC because I was part of a wonderful team and got to make some lifelong friends! Little did I know that one of the leaders of my group was actually the CEO of Clean Solar! Through ELC, I developed an interest in the business world, so I decided to search for some kind of experience to see if it was really for me.

After ELC ended, I contacted my leaders and asked if they knew of any opportunities where I could gain some experience in a business-like environment. Randy Zechman, the CEO of Clean Solar, let me know about an internship opportunity and here I am!

When I became a part of the team, I didn’t know what to expect.

It turns out that Clean Solar is the top-rated solar company in the USA with over 100 5-Star Yelp reviews!

I’m so honored to be a part of the Clean Solar team! Before becoming an official intern, I attended a Solar 101 class to learn a little bit more about solar. I wasn’t very aware of the solar market and I had no idea what kind of things went into the process of solar installation! I found out that solar is one of the best investments you can make in your life! It saves you so much money in the long run and I know that when I’m older I will definitely invest in solar!

Since it’s only my first week, I know that there are many things that lie ahead of me. Right now, I’m helping out in the marketing department and researching different ways to advertise Clean Solar. During my internship here, I’ll be able to explore the different aspects of an enterprise such as sales, finance, project management, and so much more! I’m really looking forward to the things I’ll be learning!

Until next time!
